Lions and Tigers and Friends

Our first baseball (and probably the only) game this year.
The Detroit Tigers vs the Minnesota Twins on Thursday night.
The family who's dog we cared for a few weeks ago got us tickets along with a few other families from school.
The Tiger won 7 to 1
Grandpa Bob joined us too!
Last night Mikey and I went to Ford Field to see the Detroit Lions vs the New England Patriots.
We got some cheap tickets when we signed up Mikey for flag football.
It was a lot of fun for sure but we only made it to half time before Mikey lost interest
Lions Cheerleaders posing with Mikey
Photos from earlier in the week when we picked up Carmen from Pine Hills Camp
Naturally we stopped at the Grass Lake Depot for Mateo sake.
All the girls at camp had a great time.
What a blessing
Isabel wishes she wore glasses
we found a great place for Maria to practice driving to her hearts content.
A lot of family members are buried at Holy Sepulcher in Southfield so Maria can drive around the huge cemetery while we visit. You can see a deer in the photo above walking around.
We also found this deer skull down by the Rouge River which goes through the cemetery
Grandma Paula and Peter checking out the river
There was a birthday party going on at the park and the boys borrowed these makeshift light sabers from some of the other boys
Cool sunset the other night on the ride home
School starts for Maria next Monday but she tried out at the drama club auditions this week
Harvest time at Grandma Paula's house
The firemen at the downtown Plymouth fire department are so kind and always invite us in when we walk by.
Plymouth contracts with the city of Northville for service.
Another trip to Sterling State Park and hopefully not our last
When we got there they had just finished combing the beach
Looking for shells
The Smith's joined us and everyone had a great time
mud baths
Even Genevieve got into the mud

another week in photos

Maria missed out on our trip to the lake but she spent some one on one time with Grandma Paula going out for seafood and speaking nothing but Spanish all day. Something Maria has been wanting to do all Summer.
They also spent evenings cruising Woodward checking out the classic cars
Some of Maria's handicraft
We have missed Carmen all week too but she spent the week with Katie and friends from school at Pine Hills Camp so we know they are all having the time of their life.
Tomato picking
Pig pile sleepover at Grandma Paula's house
Grandpa Bob got us this great tackle box
Which we tried out right away
