Another mishmash of pictures, jumbled up and out of order like our whole world seems to be right now. We are very fortunate that all the kids have been able to have in-school school (so far) and be with friends and complete their studies/meet with teachers IN PERSON even if they are all masked and at least 6 feet away ;)
We celebrated three Ekblad birthdays during this time. Fran had a party at home and this is the next 'generation' of Ekblads, Worths and Denjas to grace this room in celebration! We also got to celebrate not once but twice at a private party at Jungle Java for Josie and Augustine!!
Last time Amy had a grand-daughter my Lucy was born in the same month, this time Des had the pleasure...here she is holding Hannah's Raphael and her own Eleanor.
Tina, Kevin and Liliana spent the entire month of August at Paula's. We got together a few times of course, but this seems to be the only pics I took with my phone! Mike will have to load some others.
Awesome day at the lake with the Matti family. Stephanie is building an amazing home where the old "cottage" used to be.
First (and only so far) all-school Mass at SSA Joy. Otherwise they go 2-3x per week with their classes distanced in the chapel. Mikey gets to go once/week at FGR during Theology class.
Maria was here once again for First Day of School!
The annual father-daughter move-in drive to Florida. Maria got her first legal margarita at The Pub.
Got to move our other girlie into her new digs at SMC in Notre Dame. She loves it!!
The left is Mike in Carmen's dorm and the right is me and my two besties at an Adoration night in Sept.
On the left we painted some rocks at the condo and on the right is the entryway of Carmen's dorm.
Left is Mikey and friends at Cedar Point, Maria was kind enough to drive. Right is the kids at a park.
Lulu absolutely LOVES bampa bob and bamma wose...visiting them was the highlight of her summer.
Carmen had a great time at the first few Notre Dame games. Perfect weather! Below on the right is Old Saint Pat's in Ann Arbor where we venerated Padre Pio's first class relics. Paulina is pictured with Frank from her class. On the left is more from the Ladies Adoration night at St Thomas in Ann Arbor.
Mom and dad took the kids to the Toledo Zoo while Maria was still here. They had a great time!
A childhood friend, Erin Oglenski, did the image above for me as a tattoo design. Unexpectedly she passed away about a month or so later which was a very shocking loss.
Paulina learned to ride her bike without training wheels, Lucy got a boating license (not) and learned Ring Around the Rosie before grandma and grandpa left for their Portland trip.
After Carmen left, Isabel moved to her room and I reclaimed my room with a bunk for the two little girls. So far she hasn't slept all night in it, but Lulu sure loves her little bed.
Above on the right is Amelia - she and Raffi came over a few times with Hannah to play in our backyard since it's a bit closer than the parks.
Mateo's football helmet that ended up costing me $50 even though he opted not to play. Instead of joining the A2 Saints we went for a very intense team in our area. It was not Mateo's cup of tea...but he still loves football!
Mikey's pic below made an MLive article about sports in Michigan during the pandemic!
Lulu has her first doctor's appointment (outside of newborn) below. She kept the gown on for about 1.5 minutes.
Above left is my childhood friend, Erin and her 3 kids. Right is Mikey and Tomas on their first day of high school at FGR.
Maeve came with the girls while Aaron was at man camp and we played some ladder ball with Carey.
Above is another design that Erin did for me. Below of course the girls enjoying the lake at Paula's.
