As per usual, this monthly blog comes to us entirely out of order...while we didn't get to spend actual Christmas with the DeVries, we did get to visit there the weekend before Christmas and they were able to come here after.
As always, it was a lovely HVCS Christmas program to start the last day of school before break!
We had an all-staff meeting and I convinced Service EMU to take some pictures with me and the EMU Credit Union Christmas tree which was gorgeous!!
Cathedrals Tour with Matt Maher and Sarah Kroger...always get to see friends
I'm so excited Amy was able to make it this year and my friend Jill who went last year with me & Des.
And Brandon had a photog pass so we got to be with Rose too!
Love this kid. I'm so glad I was able to make it one basketball game!
Is it Christmas without sugar cookies? I think not.
They demolished the dorms that Mike and I met in. But they made these cool benches in the green space left behind with the original stonework.
Celebrating Caroline's birthday below and with my friends Cassie and Des above
Our building is being remodeled for the COB so I had to move out of my big window office and into this 6x6 cubicle. Good times. Now my coworkers and I call ourselves Meerkat Nation popping up over our cubes to have conversations when we're in office together. It's actually not too bad so far.
Honeymooners and Newlyweds: Ireland to Florida
I have the honor of being the point of contact for the SJB Campus Ministry group and was able to take a few of the team members out for EMU's Winter Wonderland Lunch.
After the honeymoon in Key West, Noah and Isabel drove up to Michigan to spend a good part of the Christmas break with us. Of course Christmas Day we spent with grandma Paula and then we went back over the weekend when the DeVries were here as well.
Lucy's Second Grade teacher attends Mass at our parish (and lives right around the corner).
Is it even Christmas Eve without taco dip?
To mark not-quite age 8 and not-quite age 12, we got piercings at Ulta!!
Rosie, the professional flower girl!
Once again we spent Paulina's birthday at the Ekblads for our annual family get-together. What a blessing my BFF and her family are to all of us!!
We even made fun food!
My boys. Even the naughty ones.
