As summer days ended (which by the grace of God went well into September this year!) we were able to enjoy lots of 'extra time' this year (well except for Mikey) as school didn't start for us until after Labor Day so we got the whole month of August to enjoy the more relaxed pace (and lack of homework!). We went to Red Robin with Isabel before she left.
Paulina had lots of last days with her Ekblad family and a few times Lucy and I were able to make it over on my work-from-home lunch breaks to have playtime and for me to share fellowship and coffee with my bestie! Both girls did "dance camp" at the Kopinski's and I forced Amy into letting me take Fran as well. They did a great job and had so much fun.
We celebrated a low key birthday for Peter turning 14. And we were able to go over for a quick sleepover with Tyler and Maria and then go out for Tyler's 23rd birthday! Boy was the food good! We went to Looking Glass Brewery in Dewitt.
Lucy had her very first dental appointment (complete with completing her own paperwork!)
Paulina went to her very first "sleepaway" camp at Camp Sancta Maria and this is her with one of her two counselor's, Emma. Mike loves to make jokes b/c the kids love the show Bunk'D and one of the characters (who is also a counselor) is named Emma! Paulina not only got assigned to the same cabin Mateo was in but also picked the exact same bunk!
We snuck in some last minute visits to McClumpha with dad and me to the pool!
We celebrated our first (after 3 years!) Green & White Night at FGR!
I got assigned to "bartend" the new parent reception at FGR.
Lulu made many visits to work with me. She loves going and my office is filling up with drawings!
Lucy and I had a sleepover at Ty and Ria's and Maria was kind enough to go on the trek up north with me to pick up Paulina from camp while Mateo and Tyler hung out and then we met for lunch before heading home.
We also went to our first FGR play-one of my favorites-
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat!
Carmen moved into her first apartment. I haven't seen it yet but I'm hoping to visit!
One of the days I brought Lucy to work my co-worker was kind enough to bring her bunnies in!
Mikey's first game was a HUGE WIN. The last 3 games have been rough losses NGL, but they continue to be tough and fight an uphill battle with bigger, older opponents with deeper benches! Still they hold their own every single game. I want them to win but they are great to watch!
