Milwaukee/Chicago

I took a road trip in mid-September with mom and dad to Milwaukee for Bob Clarren's wedding. We stopped at Sean and Leslie's on the way. Their house is amazing...so cool and mid-century modern! I took a ton of pics but will just put a few here. Everything is also out of order but oh well.

Pit stop on the way to Chicago for chic-fil-a at Chicago Ridge Mall to avoid some traffic.

Pit stop between Chicago and Milwaukee to put the feet in Lake Michigan - first time this summer?

The Astor Hotel - very cool and only slightly reminiscent of The Shining

Mom and dad stayed at the County Clare Inn and we ate a DELICIOUS breakfast the morning we checked out. We also had some drinks in between wedding and reception.
So funny that we rarely see Sean and kids and we got to see them two weekends in a row! He and the boys and Uncle Dennis came for another UM game. This time Mikey and Mateo got to go too!

These random balloons were in the Chicago Ridge Mall...it seemed like a good segway to the next post...LOL

September Odds-n-Ends

In September SCA celebrates grandparents and other "special people" with a Grandparents Day Mass and brunch.

I made a couple visits with little people to hang out with mom and/or dad. On this visit to Kensington I wanted to walk so we made sure to make walking fun by having a scavenger hunt: Mateo and Paulina had to find a cool rock, stick, flower, bird, and bug. Some of the pics are also from the park in Brighton.

Mom and dad had lunch with Nancy and I thought it worth including pics here since they don't keep up with their own blog much...I'm pretty sure last time I checked it was Pledge the Pink in September 2017!

SSA maintains a Facebook Page and I lifted these lovely pics from it.

Mateo is playing Flag Football this fall. We've had a couple great days and some real yucky ones. His last game was actually canceled b/c the field flooded.
While I took a trip to Milwaukee/Chicago with mom and dad, everyone else went to 3 Cedars...

This pic is actually from mom's trip out to Portland much later on in the month, but again, for posterity since my parent's don't update their blog and Houghtens don't maintain one ;)
