November started with a surprise, last minute invite to a very special Generations Gala hosted by the company Carmen works for at The Henry Ford. Carmen sponsored a table and at the last minute another couple couldn't come so Amy & I got to join our beautiful daughters and walk down memory lane with them all grown up walking around the museum we took our kids to so often when they were little. What a treat!
I'll have to have Mike find the picture I know we have (somewhere) of our girls in this same display!
I couldn't post this picture online but I love seeing the pure joy and laughter on my friend's face. It's been a very tough year for her and this was just genuine laughter at her girls and I cutting up.
I've never attended a Saints banquet but I'm so glad I made the effort to go this year. The coaches said some great things about Mateo and his teammates and it was a great blessing to be there when the Dave Kendzicky Spirit award was handed out. We also made an All Soul's Visit to Grandpa Joe!
HVCS had a fundraiser at Aubree's in Ypsi so I took the girls and we met up with one of their friends!
I was blessed enough to spend Election Night with 4 of the best! My friend Amy is moving to PA to be close to her mom and while I'm so happy for her, I'm going to miss her so much!!
FGR made it all the way to Districts again this year and they won! I admit it was a little bittersweet to see the team and school celebrate what I felt like should have been "our boys" had last year been different, but watching my friend get a great big bear hug from her boy made it almost as special.
Sidewalk chalk affirmations by Paulina!
On my way to visit Grandma Alice, someone was driving with this license plate which is going to be Isabel's new last name once she marries Noah :)
In November we visit the dead! So grateful for their legacy and when I posted this in my story, I found out that a good friend of Carmen's is actually my second cousin once removed!!
In addition to stadium cleanup I got to work the FGR Gala at the Detroit Athletic Club.
I have to say it's a lot better volunteer job to support the school!
November found us celebrating 27 years of marriage and 22 years of Isabel!
Mom and daughter date to Kirklands, Marshalls and Starbucks!
Both Isabel and Carmen's fiancés had siblings get engaged within a month of them! What a blessing!!
Friday night fun at home and forced family fun hike at our favorite walking spot.
Paulina climbed up even higher in the tree than Mateo would - Lucy picked another tree and went even higher than Paulina too!
Wonderful Thanksgiving Feast with Grandma Paula! Salud, Dinero y Amor!
On my birthday, Mike shared with our table full of friends that Noah had called to ask him if he could propose to Isabel. The day after our anniversary, we got the FaceTime call just as UM kicked the field goal that would beat Ohio State! I had to hurry up and answer!
So very grateful she found such an awesome human being with a great family too!
