Oh blogger, why oh why can't you just put the pictures in order I'll never know but I kinda hate it and I kinda hate you. Sure, you're up here with documentation of my life lo these last 16 years and it's all been free to me but it's barely any FUN anymore. I just want something in my life that is ordered and not all chaos but I also covet REAL and I guess you've got the corner on that. My life is chaotic and these kids (and my brain and feelings) are all over the map so might as well just embrace the mess. Onward!
In mid-July we got the pleasure of going out to the lake to celebrate Anthony's belated 50th birthday. It was such a blessing to see the "finished product" of their home and spend some valuable time with friends that are family.
In addition to getting to celebrate his birthday this wonderful Sunday everyone consented to 11:30 Mass at Saint Patrick - which is my FAVE and we got a glimpse of many friends, including Mary!
Liliana and Paulina got to experience 2 days of "Cheer Camp" at FGR while the two younger boys spent two weeks up in Gaylord at Camp Sancta Maria. As you can see I was able to grab a few photos off their IG account...in every single one Mateo is wearing the SAME SHIRT.
FOR TWO WEEKS PEOPLE.
I don't know who this darling girl is on the left below but she was at Anthony's party and she and Lu had a blast together. I stayed late on my own after all the rest of the fam had left because the two little girls were having so much fun!
On Saturday before we picked up the boys I was able to make my first trip to GFV since Covid. It was great to be back! And then the Monday after we picked the boys up I took a "family mental health day" and we were able to visit the Toledo Zoo with Isabel and her boyfriend, Noah, who is from Dallas and whom she met at school there. His younger sister is in Isabel's class and he's a bit ahead.
And of course on Sunday Tyler and Maria celebrated their one year anniversary!! Since they celebrated by going 'up north' and Isabel also got the chance to take Noah up to see it all as well, they met for coffee and then Carmen and David also met them downtown for a meal. No one cares about their stinky old mom and her proclivity for putting things on the Internet so I have no photographic evidence (though it likely exists!)
Once Isabel and Mike dropped the boys off, they went out to check out the grounds. They happened upon 'two guys' and got to talking and ended up on a private tour of the grounds with the Archbishop and the chaplain for Divine Child (who also happens to be the brother of one of Maria's fellow Ave Nursing classmates!) It's a small catholic world <3
I forced mom and dad out for the annual Michigan Philharmonic at Kensington...the weather did not disappoint!
When we went to the zoo, Paulina got to have her very first non-family sleepover with her friend, Fran!

Lulu got a chance to come to work with me. First she insisted on wearing her Eastern cheerleading outfit and then my awesome coworker, Christine, brought in her bunnies for her!!
I was also able to take Ruby to work with me a few times.
The green arrow is pointing at Mary, who is the younger sibling of Gavin, one of Mikey's besties. She and Paulina will be classmates at HVCS next year!
