Misc friends and festivities

My phone has been acting funny so I've got A LOT to catch up. Feels like I've mentioned that before so sorry if the info is repetitive. I figure lots of people are already on Facebook so they get these updates anyway, but it's nice to have it all in one place. The weekend before my birthday there was a "Radiant Light" conference at a nearby parish and I bought Amy's admission for her birthday hoping she'd attend with me. As busy moms I didn't want to pressure her (what's the point of friendship if it becomes obligation?) so I just entered her admission as "Leighanne's Friend" in case she couldn't or didn't want to make it. She came! We had a great day together, I really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and the catholic crafty shopping!!

This is a little out of order so you're missing the weekend in between but the first weekend in November I got together with high school girlfriends last year. We had so much fun, we decided to do it again. One of the girls is a VIP at Little River Casino (has won tens of thousands of dollars!!) and comped our rooms, dinner and a spa treatment - what a blessing! We had to drive through the first serious snow of the season (for me) but Isabel, Paulina, Luciana and I made it in time for the first massage of my life and a fun evening out with old friends :)

Below: Michele (the VIP), Danielle, Christina, Tara, Sara, Karen and Brenda

I think when we got back Sunday grandma had a cookie cake for me and I got help blowing out the 44 candles :)
Another group of friends celebrating another birthday: Catholic Moms galore!!
I celebrated my birthday yet again with my two besties. Hannah (Amy's daughter) was nice enough to host us and made a yummy pumpkin pie and we had Noodles & Co and just hung out.
Amelia (in red polka dots) is my BFF Amy's first grandchild and is 10 days older than Luciana.
Halloween was a whirlwind! Isabel took Lucy (giraffe) and Paulina (ghost) out while the boys roamed the neighborhood together.

The boys had "homemade" Fortnite costumes. Mikey and Peter are wearing "skins" and Mateo is just a gamer I guess?

Mikey was selected (with Brendan Lafave) to emcee the All Saints parade at SSA.

Isabel went back in the afternoon to take Paulina to play the games since the celebration is after PreK ends.
St Paul, Mary, St Matthew, St Peter
Paulina decides to join the Mary's

Again, totally out of order but in mid-October Aunt Maeve was lonely and sad and missing her family. Paulina, Lucy, Peter and I decided late on a Saturday afternoon to make the road trip to Indy to keep her company.

Peter installed her wireless printer!

Another birthday gift (to myself) a visit to my friend Anastasia for rainbow hair!!
I bought these glasses in case someone wanted to be Maximilian Kolbe for All Saints. Mike and I both thought they made Paulina look like Edna Mode from Incredibles...

Mike with Rene on a visit to Grandma Paulas and below, pics I got from Thanksgiving 2018

Carmen played hooky and the girls went to Henry Ford with Mike while Paulina was in PreK

Isabel turned 16 in November and passed her driving test with flying colors and got her license the week after her birthday (which was on Thanksgiving this year).
Aunt Maeve gave us a great deal on buying the Scion so she even has something to drive!
Finally got a picture of Luciana in the "Lady Bug" dress.
