The merry month of March

On March 13, 2022, Paulina was blessed to make her First Holy Communion with Father Zaid at Our Lady of Good Counsel parish at the Noon Mass. That Sunday found us finally LICE-FREE after discovering both Lu and I had itchy heads at Stations of the Cross about 2 weeks earlier on the first Friday of Lent. UGH. Thankfully we caught it pretty quickly, and it only affected Lucy, Paulina and Mom.

Not many of our friends were able to attend but she was surrounded by family, including the Masons who made the 8-hour-round-trip drive AND dealt with the loss of an hour the night before due to good old spring forward/time change. And God bless him, even her godfather, Blake Smith was good enough to come and bring 3 of his little siblings.

Paulina was able to wear Carmen's FHC dress and actually the same shoes Avery wore for her FHC so that was special. We did get her own veil and sweater since it was snowy morning!

I picked the weekend in between Carmen and Isabel's spring breaks to allow them both to come. We got a lot of time with Carmen which was really nice as she opted not to work over the break. It was Maria's weekend to work but she was able to swap a shift with a coworker so she and Tyler got to spend two nights with us which was also lovely! I even had Monday off so I could enjoy my morning coffee with them before they had to get back for Monday work in Grand Rapids. Sadly (for us) we missed Isabel but she was able to take a road trip with friends to Colorado Springs on her break which was a fun break for her!

The weekend after Paulina's FHC, Mike and I were able to attend a Trivia Night - this time together! SCA had their annual event and Michel's and Creen's were kind enough to invite us along with other CC friends of theirs to create the Tombstoners Wild West trivia group. We didn't win (well except Marnie, who won the 50/50 raffle and the rest of group who won "Best Dressed") but we got better every round moving from 5th to 4th to 2nd place in the final round!

Probably the best part about Paulina's FHC day was the opportunity to spend time with her best friend/cousin, Liliana. They had to take the weekend before off due to our lice situation so they were ready to hang out after two weeks apart!!

Carmen was able to take a quick overnight trip to GR to hang out with Maria and they were kind enough to indulge me with a picture of my beautiful daughters together <3

Luciana *LOVES* her ballet class with friends, Lily (dark hair) and Lilia (blond). Lily's older sister, Giana or Gigi teaches the class. She is 14 and homeschooled so her family is kind enough to open their home to us at 8am each Friday morning after school drop off for an hour ballet class, they even have a bar!

The better dressed Tombstoners (Michels Left, Creens middle and our new friends right!)

Best Grandparents EVER!!!!!
Father Zaid blesses a miraculous medal that Maria gave to Paulina, along with a cute necklace.
