I love the simplicity and innocence of children.

Wherever they go the boys are quick to make friends.

They can immediately start playing with another kid like they have known each other their whole life and they are best friends and in the case of the boys, play for hours without even knowing each others names.

Student Driver

After 2 weeks of classroom training, Maria is on the road for the first time, legally anyways.

The instructor (Mr Madonna) came right to our house to pick her up. She'll need to get 6 hours of drive time plus another 4 hours of "observation" watching other kids drive.

Our neighbor Neil had the same instructor 15 years ago!

20 somethings

We felt so honored to have some of the young (cool) Steubenville-grad teachers from SSA over yesterday for a BBQ. It was really great getting to know them outside of school and meeting their families and having all of our kids play together. It was also a goodbye party of sorts for Mr Harburg who is leaving SSA to teach at a new Catholic high school in Orange County...Maria gave him lots of tips on teaching Geometry based on her experience this past year as that will be his subject. :)
