Pledge the Pink 2022

2022 brought another Pledge the Pink - this one back on Fripp Island and with some truly excellent weather for walking. It was sunny but not much humidity and a nice cool breeze. I didn't do any of the official walk - except for about 1.5 miles on the final day but I still clocked close to 15,000 steps every day just walking to and from the beach and all around. I had to miss Mikey's final home game to attend which was a bit of a bummer, but these ladies and this event more than made up for it. Still right now I'm not planning to return in 2023 so I can be there for all of Mikey's final senior year football stuff...I don't want to miss a thing!
Mom and dad came and rented a condo and though we barely saw them, Erin and I managed to take Goldie out for a walk on the beach :)
Carmen and Ale were on SMC fall break and came home so I got to see them and spend time with them before I left and had the reassurance of knowing they were there to help Mike with the kids while I was gone. He's always supportive of me going here, there and everywhere and I'm so, so grateful for his constant sacrifice so I feel a lot less guilty when I know he has reinforcements :)

When I returned from PTP we were able to coordinate with Maria and Tyler to have Peter come stay with them for a few days. Unfortunately both Maria and Tyler got sick while he was visiting but I know it was a nice break for him from all the yelling...that's what he said he noticed being gone, the lack of noise. LOL

On Saturday we took a lovely dolphin cruise courtesy of Maeve (thank you sister!!!!) and then got in the golf cart parade which we likely had no chance of winning but was so much fun!!
Below was Friday Night Drag Queen Bingo. All of the "drag queens" are husbands of survivors...which I think is probably the coolest thing ever. And they were great!!

Poor Julia was recovering from surgery and couldn't walk but it just meant more time together :)

I actually found three wholly intact sand dollars but chipped them holding them in the ocean to rinse them off!

Game Day is still game day even when mama's in South Carolina :)

I wanted to get these girls' phone numbers but they were laughing too hard for me to get the digits to send them this pic LOL

Floating in the giant flamingo is ALWAYS a good idea.

I tried (and failed-ish) trying to get a photo series of one of the drag queens at Bingo sneaking up behind Maeve!
