I addition to having no control over the order of photos, I am also apparently perpetually 6 months behind in posting to the blog! Here's a little of June.
Though he passed away about one year ago today, we had a celebration for my old mentor/former professor and boss, Gary "Doc" Evans - what a wonderful gift to be able to attend :)
I got some good Rosie babysitting days and was able to stay late enough one visit for the DeVries regular Wednesday night get togethers...in acclimate weather they do movie nights but for summer they did backyard fires and games...what a delight to see a glimpse into their life and know they have good friends and a support system of peers (some friendships even from as far back as Kindergarten!!)
Mateo went to Pine Hills. I got a few hugs in with the Ekblad boys at drop off!
Mikey and Tomas and now Finn and Mateo!!
We celebrated Mikey some more - this time for 18th birthday!!
Tyler and Maria managed to get some visits in to the property and Paul & Kelly got a boat!
I got to attend my first ever national financial aid conference, right here in the midwest! Milwaukee!
The girls did three VBS: St Joe's in Ypsi, RidgeKids at Northridge near us and CTK where they got to pray over Cecilia ~ what a gift to be part of it!
For my 50th birthday my amazing sisters offered to take me a cruise, go somewhere fun just adults but all I really wanted was all of us together and of course mom/dad helped make that happen too! So we got Houghtens, Masons, Denjas, DeVries and Redmonds all together in June to celebrate grandma's 99th birthday and to celebrate a very early birthday to me!!
Lots of grad parties...happy to report that Pat & Luke ended up at EMU with Mikey! What a gift!
