February isn't quite over as a type but with only one day left and time to post I'm calling it. We were able to foster the HVCS Auction puppy (who we named Bentley for his week with us) and he was the best behaved of all dogs I've babysat/fostered. I got very, very lucky with my volunteerism and not only did he not have one accident in the house but I was able to sew and put together two auction quilts while we watched him over his first weekend. I tried very hard to get Peter so endeared with him we'd be able to keep him but no such luck and with just 3 votes (mommy, Lu and Paulina) we didn't even place a bid to keep him.
After watching the puppy from Friday to Friday we took off for the long weekend off (President's Day) to visit the Masons in Cincy. I had planned to stay through Monday but when Mike volunteered to come (and drive!) if we could leave Sunday, well, it was an offer I couldn't refuse so daddy and I took the youngest three while Peter and Mikey stayed behind to work and/or vegetate (you guess which one did what there).
Carmen turned 22 in '23!
The weekend after we went to Cincy we had the pleasure of both Tyler and Maria coming home and Carmen and Ale coming home as well. Here I am holding my baby holding her baby :)
After the kids left for the weekend then it was time to pick up Grandpa Bob from the airport. He came for a doctor's visit, to do some Michigan stuff and of course to visit Grandma Alice for a day!
Kendall had a dance competition and the hotel/convention center in Wilmington, OH had a really cool gear head bar...not that I don't want to watch random strangers dance but this was a nice alternative while Kendall wasn't dancing :)
Ty and Ria came home for Trivia Night at FGR. Our team didn't win and when we realized that we even tried to lose and came up short there as well, but we won the game of life as we all made it through the night happy, healthy, holy and having FUN!
I took the girls to see the first two episodes of The Chosen in the theatre and then went to see the last two episodes on the big screen with Des and Amy.
Prior to finishing these quilts, I also got to introduce Lucy to the wonderful magical land of Hobby Lobby!

After about 3 times rescheduling Amy Pelletier and I were finally able to meet for dinner at Palm Palace in Ann Arbor/Ypsi. We had the most effervescent waitress, Hoda, who insisted I sit on the camel.

Coincidentally I had lunch duty (which is really recess duty) at HVCS when we watched the dog so we brought him outside and he was like a little pied piper with all the kids chasing him :)

Before Kendall had dance we tried to squeeze in a showing of AntMan and the Wasp (Paulina and Kendall while we sat at the bar). Kendall got a call she had to leave b/c the competition was an hour ahead (and 45 minutes away). Paulina was quite relieved b/c the movie was too intense for her!
Got my hair cut for the first time in about 2 years and below is me on a walk "with" Mike. While I stopped to enjoy the sun, he gained serious ground (can you even see him in this pic?)
