After their narrow defeat on Thursday against Ann Arbor Christian they played again on Friday and won against Washtenaw Christian. Saturday morning they played and lost to St Paul which dropped them from the tournament.

Maybury

 Maybury State Park. Once known as Maybury Sanitorium from 1921 to 1969

 These historical marker are all over the place since virtually all buildings and traces of the sanatorium are now gone.

We brought this tiny little guy home. Apparently Garter Snakes do in fact produce a very mild neurotoxic venom but they lack an effective means of delivering it since their teeth are in the back of their mouth.

 Petey says, "Woo Woo!" As much as Mikey & Petey love watching the trains downtown, the loud noise of the horn and several hundred tons of steel rolling by just a few feet away sent Mateo into a crying fit! He still loves to say, "oooh" and point when he hears trains from far away though.

So proud of Carmen. She was unsure about Basketball at first but she never missed a practice or a game despite many games where she did not even play. There are so many 5th graders playing that many times Mrs Hood would only play the older, taller 6th grade girls the whole game but Carmen was the only 5th grader to make a basket! The tournament started today and they lost to Ann Arbor Christian by one point so the best they can do now is 2nd place but they are much improved from the start of the season.
