Holidaze

It was a rather lowkey Christmas given that we had our big Redmond-extravaganza prior to Thanksgiving in Cincy. And since we see Tina/Kev/Liliana more often now, Christmas didn't have the same "all the relatives coming out of the woodwork" feel - still, Jesus is born! What more could we ask for??? Some highlights of the holiday season...

Sure enough Abigail was home on break so we did get to hear her sing with the beautiful Dolman's at a Mass over the holidays and Tina and Kev just had to have these Prince/Freddie mugs I found at a local shop in Ypsi.
Saint Therese was my beautiful gift from my BFF for Christmas. I love my holy Saint friends and reminders, I just wish they worked better when I was in a bad mood! LOL
I went out to dinner with Abigail and Carmen one evening and we were discussing Carmen's "fashion sense" as a young girl. I loved it and put together a montage b/c come on, is she not fabulous???

Kendall, Avery and Mateo joined Maeve and I for a visit to grandma Alice's once we figured out her nursing home had opened up visitation. I had a friend's mom's funeral about half way there and it was too good an excuse/opportunity to pass up! We met at Strike Zone in Bronson to eat beforehand.

We did manage a FaceTime on dad's 71st birthday to let mom/dad know that we have a 50th Anniversary trip planned (as well as way belated birthday gifts) to all stay at a VRBO together this summer!

Katie and Joe got married on NYE 2021. We were so blessed to be there for the wedding. What a special couple and all three big girls were in the wedding party! Lucy was in 7th Heaven watching her godmother and big sisters coming down the aisle like real life princesses!!

Isabel and Jackson were matched up. This was the beginning of my friendship with Amy and the "babies" that brought us together...we were in the same due date club!

I got to make a quick trip to visit my friend Tara while Mike visited with Maria and then we met up with Tyler's parents and family for dinner. It was a nice post-Christmas day trip :)

One day we made a trip into Detroit to see a couple parks I wanted to see after following some folks talking about how beautiful Campus Martius and Beacon Park...the swinging bells were so fun!!

Somehow Mike got a bonus gift out of the 2nd Annual Denja-sibling gift exchange. The girls got him this "Cat Dad" mug with him and Pablo printed on it...perfect!

Mateo and I took in two EMU basketball games. The first went into double OT and the second went into 4 OTs!!! I don't know if I can make it to another!!

At Thanksgiving Peter was still shorter than Maria by a bit...not so by Christmas!!

At Katie's rehearsal dinner (on Paulina's birthday), Amy pulls out this cake for her birthday. I mean I am too blessed I tell you!!

I promised I wouldn't post this on Social Media. I think the blog was allowed but if not, I trust Carmen will tell me so enjoy it while you can!

Mike started letting Lu play this silly little game on his phone and now she looks for him the morning to figure out the puzzle...
