Between the TV comas, fights, swimming, trips to Marvins, parties, playing with her Littlest Pet Shops, and other summer activities, Maria managed to read over 25 chapter books so far this summer. Mostly the Magic Tree House series. In addition to the 50 cents a book that we have given her, Amy also got her the Black Stallion Webkinz for her reading (shown below). Carmen has been reading some "Dick and Jane" and practicing her writing too. She wrote a note that said, "I like my dad because he is nice and he cleans our messes." If you ask her though, she will deny it. That is so Carmen! Isabel prefers to look at the I SPY books and having daddy read to her at night.
